About the position
Key Responsibilities: Required Skills and Experience: Qualifications:
? Daily Transaction Management: Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy in all entries.
? Invoicing and Accounts Receivable: Generate and manage invoices, monitor outstanding payments, issue payment reminders, and assist with collections as needed. Serve as a point of contact for client invoice queries and manage invoicing on client systems.
? Driver Payments and Expenses: Process driver payments, handle fuel and other expenses, and maintain up-to-date records for driver information and payments.
? Bank Reconciliation and Cash Flow: Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash flow records and support overall financial integrity.
? Financial Reporting and Close Process: Assist in preparing basic financial reports, organizing data, and supporting the monthly close process through data entry, reconciliations and document preparation.
? Document Management: Organize and maintain both physical and digital financial records, using tools like G-Suite and Xero to ensure all documents are readily accessible.
? Compliance and Collaboration: Collaborate with senior accountants to ensure adherence to company financial policies, procedures and timelines, contributing to efficient and accurate financial operations
? Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
? Basic Accounting Software Knowledge: Experience with accounting software (specifically Xero) is preferred.
? Proficiency in G-Suite: Ability to work comfortably with Google Sheets, Docs, and Gmail.
? Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
? Analytical Skills: Basic understanding of financial principles and an ability to spot discrepancies.
? Strong Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate with team members and communicate financial information clearly.
? Education: Certificate or diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Finance or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
? Entry-Level Experience: Some prior experience in bookkeeping, data entry, or an internship in an accounting role is preferred
