About the position

What do stock, sales, warehouses, customers, spreadsheets and AI have in common? In this role...they'll all land on your desk. Our client isn't looking for a finance person who sits in a corner producing reports. They're looking for someone who wants to be in the business, understand operations, enjoys solving problems and can spot opportunities hiding inside the numbers. Our client is a rapidly growing FMCG and retail business based in Centurion. As the company scales, they're looking for a Finance & Operations Manager who can help bridge the gap between finance, operations, stock, customers and future technology initiatives. The business still has a number of manual processes, creating a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys building, improving and implementing smarter ways of working. This role will suit someone who is equally comfortable analysing sales data in Excel as they are walking through a warehouse to understand operational challenges firsthand. You'll be the type of person who doesn't just report on what happened, you'll help shape what happens next.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full Order-to-Purchase (O2P) process
  • Support clients and manage customer relationships
  • Oversee stock, inventory and warehouse controls
  • Analyse sales performance and business trends
  • Produce meaningful reports and operational insights
  • Support warehouse quality control and process compliance
  • Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
  • Assist with automation projects and systems enhancements
  • Translate data into actionable business recommendations
  • Partner with operational teams to improve performance and profitability

Job Experience and Skills Required:
  • BCom Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related field
  • 3+ years' experience in a Finance & Operations, Commercial Finance, Operations Analyst or similar role
  • Experience within FMCG, retail, wholesale, distribution, supply chain industries
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and reporting capability
  • Experience with process improvement and systems implementation
  • Exposure to automation, AI tools, or digital transformation initiatives advantageous
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working both strategically and operationally
