About the position
2 Month contract. Open to all races.
Provide effective and efficient administrative support in carrying out finance duties and coordination of activities of the finance team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure capturing of accounts receivable and payable.
- Capture journal entries on a monthly basis.
- Accurately input and maintain financial data in an organised, easy- to-understand format.
- Capture journal entries on a monthly basis.
- Capture procurement transactions for BEE reporting.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, standard procedures, and regulations.
- Process supplier invoices for payment and managing the administration process for payments.
- Identify and address bank account detail discrepancies on invoices.
- Ensure new suppliers are accurately captured and supporting documentation (e.g. BBBEE certificate and proof of banking details) is maintained
- Review and process invoices.
- Review and process reimbursements.
- Assist with completing nil returns on SARS e-filing and extracting SARS information as required
- Preparation of supporting documentation required for audit purposes.
- Prepare tax documents.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, standard procedures, and regulations.
- Ensure effective management of the electronic document management system.
- Ensure preparation of professional business letters and relevant correspondence,
- Assist with sign off of resolutions relating to the signing of the financial statements and other corporate transactions.
- Keep records of invoices and all payments.
- Update internal records and maintain an organised filing system
- Diary management of finance team and finance deliverables
- Provide research and analysis support to the finance team.
- Assisting with preparation and formatting of finance presentations.
- Assisting with proof reading of finance presentations, annual financial statements and financial reports.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Formal Qualifications: BCom degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Accounting, or equivalent
Years of Experience: Recently graduated.
