About the position
Purpose of the Job:
Supporting Agronomist/Horticulturists by collecting various Agri-samples (soil, leaves, water etc.) according to standardized Standard Operating Procedures and sending the samples and related paperwork to the relevant lab for analysis.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Matric
- Agriculture Qualification will be advantageous.
- Experience with agriculture/farming
- Must be able to speak Afrikaans
- Must own or be able to acquire a suitable pickup truck (bakkie) - Not negotiable
Technical Tasks, Competencies & Experience:
- Collect soil, water, leave, petiole etc. samples from various farms
- Capture location data on company system
- Complete relevant paperwork for every sample collected by accurately capturing data on the relevant form.
- Forward paperwork and samples to the relevant lab and person.
- Ability to lift and carry > 12 pounds/6kg comfortably
