Field Service Technician

About the position

Do you have a strong technical background and a passion for solving problems on-site?
Our client, a leading supplier of industrial coding and marking equipment, is looking for a hands-on, client-focused Field Service Technician to join our dynamic South African team. Will be required to spend the first 6 months of employment in South Africa to receive training - at company expense.
The successful candidate must have:

• N3 Electronics qualification with 3-5 years' relevant hands-on experience
• Strong skills in fault finding, using hand tools and electrical measuring instruments
• A customer service mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently for work
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) and good administrative ability
• High level of responsibility, independence, and a proactive attitude
  What You'll Be Responsible For:
• Installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial ink jet coders for batch and date coding on FMCG products
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues quickly and effectively
• Ensuring equipment operates reliably within manufacturing, packaging, and factory environments
• Providing on-site customer support with professionalism and care
• Completing service reports, job cards, and necessary admin accurately
• Acting as a technical liaison between the client and the company
