About the position
A well-established company in Cape Town seeking an experienced Field Service Technician / Earthmoving Mechanic to join their team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Mechanic (advantageous)
- 3–5 years' experience as a Field Service Technician or Earthmoving Mechanic
- Essential experience working on mobile cranes
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy equipment
- Valid driver's licence
- Willingness to travel to customer sites when required
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, service and repair mobile cranes at customer sites and in the workshop
- Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Fault-find on hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems
- Inspect equipment and identify repair requirements
- Complete job cards and service reports accurately
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to manufacturer standards
- Provide technical support and maintain strong customer relationships
