About the position
A well-established company in the FMCG Industry based in the East Rand is seeking an experienced Field Sales Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- 8–10 years' external sales experience within the FMCG or food ingredients industry
- Previous experience selling to industrial food manufacturers and bakeries is highly advantageous
- Proven track record in new business development and key account management
- Previous staff management or sales leadership experience is essential
- Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills
- Computer literate (MS Office; CRM experience advantageous)
- Own reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence
- Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Modderfontein
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive new business development and expand the customer base across Gauteng
- Manage and grow key accounts within the food manufacturing, bakery, foodservice and wholesale sectors
- Lead, coach and manage a team of three Sales Representatives
- Achieve sales, revenue and profitability targets
- Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Prepare sales forecasts and management reports
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and delivery
