FICO System Support

About the position

Development Services/Documentation on both maintenance and support of FICO Systems which shall include the following:

• Monitor the FICO jobs on the SIron database.


• Maintain documentation on all errors that occur as ease of reference and the action taken to resolve said issues.


• Create Control M jobs for the FICO instances for the data to run from Hadoop/GIANT into FICO.

Analyse and sustain capacity and performance requirements.

• Monitor systems and platforms for availability.


• Oversee backup, mirroring, replication, and recovery.


• Install and test upgrades and patches with the vendor Bateleur


• Implement security and encryption where applicable and required.


• Provide 24/7 support for critical situations.


• Evaluate and recommend new integration technologies.


• Match recommended architecture changes and uplifts to business need.


• Proactively engage management as necessary to resolve issues and ensure awareness of potential dangers to the environment.


• Support other IT staff with open and unresolved issues.


• Take on responsibility as a backup or alternate for other IT staff if required.
