Factory / Workshop Supervisor (Valves, Pipes & Fittings)

About the position

Location: Edenvale, Gauteng Salary: R25,000 – R30,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience)

The Role

We require an experienced and results-driven Factory/Workshop Supervisor to lead our specialized production team. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing manufacturing operations for components critical to infrastructure—specifically high-performance industrial valves, couplings, and fabricated fittings. The successful candidate must enforce the company's non-negotiable commitment to the highest quality control standards while optimizing production efficiency through our established manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on leadership and support to the workshop team, fostering a culture of continuous education and high performance.
  
  
• Plan and manage agile daily production workflows, ensuring efficiency and a bias toward action to meet critical delivery schedules.
  
  
• Implement and strictly enforce quality control checkpoints to ensure all fabricated components meet the highest product standards required for harsh and extreme applications.
  
  
• Uphold rigorous health, safety, and operational protocols across all manufacturing processes.
  
  
• Oversee the accurate management and forecasting of raw material and consumable inventory necessary for sustained production.
  
  
• Coordinate the preventative maintenance and repair schedule for all workshop machinery and fabrication equipment.
  
  
• Proactively troubleshoot operational and production challenges and implement effective solutions.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  
  
• Solid background in the manufacturing or fabrication of specialized industrial components.
  
  
• Direct, demonstrable experience in the production processes (e.g., machining, assembly, fabrication) of fluid control components, such as high-performance valves, couplings, or fabricated steel fittings.
  
  
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a bias toward action.
  
  
• In-depth knowledge of production optimization and non-negotiable quality assurance principles.
  
  
• Commitment to maintaining a highly efficient, safe, and continuously improving workshop environment.
