About the position
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The Senior Facilities and Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role within companies Cape Town operational structure. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of park operations and facilities across the region, including infrastructure maintenance, outsourced provider management, client operational liaison, and compliance. With dual responsibility for both operational logistics and technical maintenance, the incumbent ensures that Inospace parks remain fully functional, safe, and client-centric environments.
This role will work closely with the Regional Manager and oversee a team of operational and facilities personnel, including Facilities & Projects Assistants and Coordinators. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management, supplier oversight, and client relationship capabilities, along with a practical understanding of building maintenance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilities & Maintenance Oversight
- Lead and manage all planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance across Cape Town parks
- Conduct routine site inspections and address faults timeously
- Ensure compliance with OHSA, SANS, fire, and municipal requirements
- Maintain accurate safety files, service logs, and compliance documentation
Operational Park Management
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, security, functionality, and order across all parks
- Manage and oversee all park management
Client Relationship & Operational Support
- Serve as the key contact for all operational and facilities-related client queries
- Engage directly with clients during onboarding, complaints, inspections, and small works
- Coordinate support for client installations, setups, and operational transitions within parks
Service Provider & Vendor Management
- Oversee and evaluate outsourced providers
- Track service delivery performance, resolve non-compliance, and escalate issues as required
- Manage quotations, job cards, and service-level agreements
Capex & Project Coordination
- Support minor and mid-size Capex project execution in conjunction with the Projects team
- Track and report on maintenance and project budgets
- Maintain snag lists, BOQs, and ensure quality assurance post-completion
People Management
- Supervise the Facilities & Projects Assistants, Coordinators, and park support teams
- Set and monitor KPIs, assign tasks, and provide ongoing feedback and development
- Champion operational excellence and consistency across the team
Other duties
- As directed, undertake other duties which are incidental and peripheral to the key responsibilities, provided that such duties are reasonably within the requirements and responsibilities of the position.
