About the position

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO OUR CLIENT'S COMMITMENT TO INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY UPLIFTMENT, ONLY CANDIDATES FROM THE CAPE WINELANDS AREA, WITH A CODE 10 DRIVER'S LICENSE AND CONTACTABLE REFERENCES WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE.

KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • You must be able to work independently and accurately keep records and be proactive in your approach to ensuring the profitability of the company.
  • You must have a Matric or equivalent, coupled with 3 - 5 years of experience in building and grounds maintenance as well as a Code 10 driver's license
  • You must understand building and ground risks, be able to work with subcontractor arrangements, and supervise other maintenance staff - computer literacy is essential
  • You must have experience with landscaping and gardening - pool maintenance is advantageous
  • You must have an understanding of building, plumbing, electrical, security, and the surrounding gardens
  • You must be able to do maintenance planning and administration, running reports on expenses etc.
  • You must be willing to work on weekends and be on standby
  • You must have a valid driver's licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
