About the position
A company based in Randburg is seeking an External Sales Representative (Sales Engineer) to join their expanding team.
Minimum Requirements
- 3–5 years’ external sales experience in a technical/engineering environment
- Background in industrial automation, electrical, networking, or plant solutions
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
- Willingness to travel extensively
Key Responsibilities
- Provide innovative sales, consulting, and technical support solutions within the industrial automation industry
- Manage and grow an existing client base while generating new business opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including engineers and industry professionals
- Handle tenders and projects from inception to completion
- Conduct client site visits, assessments and product presentations
- Maintain and update CRM systems
- Achieve monthly sales and activity targets
- Collaborate closely with the sales manager and technical support team
- Stay up to date with product developments and industry trends
Advantageous
- BCom / Electrical Engineering or similar qualification
- CISCO / CCNA / N+ certification
- Experience with SAP and CRM systems
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
