About the position
A well-established manufacturer based in Midrand is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Executive to join their dynamic sales team who is able to lead business development initiatives and drive revenue growth
Minimum Requirements
? Matric (Grade 12)
? Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
? Relevant postgraduate qualification or professional certification advantageous
? Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel as required
? Proven sales management experience
? Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
? Strong sales, negotiation, and business development skills
? Experience managing Internal Sales Teams, Key Account Managers, and External Sales Representatives
? Strong analytical, reporting, and forecasting abilities
? Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
? Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
? Syspro ERP experience will be highly advantageous
? Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
? Strong commercial acumen and market awareness
? Self-motivated, customer-focused, and results-oriented mindset
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within target markets.
- Expand the customer base through strategic prospecting and relationship-building initiatives.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue and profitability objectives.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and long-term client satisfaction.
- Understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions aligned with business needs.
- Manage contract negotiations and commercial agreements in line with company objectives.
Sales Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Internal Sales Consultants, Key Account Managers, and External Sales Representatives.
- Establish clear sales targets, KPIs, and performance expectations.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching, guidance, and support to maximize results.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance sales culture.
Sales Strategy & Operational Excellence
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and business cases.
- Monitor sales pipelines, forecasts, and performance metrics to ensure business objectives are achieved.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, systems, and efficiencies.
- Implement best practices and leverage technology to enhance customer experience and sales effectiveness.
Reporting & Market Intelligence
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, reports, and CRM records.
- Analyse sales data and market trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of industry developments, products, and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
