About the position
A well-established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced External Sales Representative to join their dynamic operations team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12
- 3–5 years external sales experience
- Experience within construction products or a related industry essential
- Strong sales, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to identify opportunities and generate new business
- Professional presentation and communication skills
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel
Key Responsibilities:
- Call on construction contractors and identify opportunities for quotations and tenders
- Conduct regular site visits to generate new business opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with hardware stores and building material suppliers
- Liaise with architects, quantity surveyors and project specifiers
- Promote and grow the company’s product range within the market
- Maintain strong customer service and after-sales support
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business growth
- Travel within Gauteng and Mpumalanga, with future national travel requirements
