About the position
Our client based in Airport City, Cape Town is seeking an External Sales Representative to join their team. The purpose of the position is to grow sales across hospitality, commercial, and retail clients in the Western / Eastern Cape Region. The role focuses on developing new business, managing key accounts, and representing our premium outdoor product range in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively identify and develop new business (restaurants, hotels, lodges, architects, designers, corporates, event companies)
- Maintain and grow existing customer relationships
- Conduct face-to-face sales visits, product presentations, and site assessments
- Prepare and follow up on quotations
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Coordinate with internal teams (production, logistics, admin) to ensure smooth order fulfillment
- Represent Company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings
- Keep up to date with product ranges, pricing, and market trends
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in external / field sales (B2B preferred)
- Experience in hospitality, outdoor furniture, design, or related industries is an advantage
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and results-driven
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
- Comfortable working independently and managing a sales territory
- Overtime might be required
