You're an accomplished sales representative with a strong technical understanding of electrical products and solutions. You thrive in a client-facing role, enjoy meeting targets, and take pride in offering exceptional service to both new and existing customers. You're comfortable presenting technical information, managing accounts, and providing solutions that build trust and drive revenue.
As an External Sales Representative, you'll play a key role in generating quality leads, preparing quotes, meeting sales budgets, and maintaining client relationships. You'll be responsible for visiting customers, offering product training, and supporting exhibitions. You'll also manage key accounts, handle technical queries and quotations, rotate customer stock, assist with repairs documentation, and respond to complaints in a professional and solutions-oriented manner. Internal reporting, sales record-keeping, and call planning will also form part of your day-to-day responsibilities. You'll work closely with management and support the sales team with dedication and flexibility, including after-hours client service when needed.
You'll be joining a well-established business in the electrical industry based in Gauteng. To succeed in this role, you'll need at least 4-5 years of sales experience in the electrical field. A National Diploma or N6 in Electrical Engineering would be preferred. You should be comfortable communicating in both English and Afrikaans and have strong computer skills, especially in MS Office. Experience with an ERP system, particularly Syspro, would be an advantage. A proactive, customer-focused attitude and the ability to work independently are key.
