You have expertise in technical sales of raw materials or food ingredients and a natural ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships. You enjoy the thrill of business development and take pride in growing accounts. You'd love to be part of an ambitious and dynamic team, and you have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, results-driven mindset.
You will be responsible for a variety of sales and marketing duties, including building and maintaining relationships with customers, suppliers, vendors, and business partners. You will focus on growing current business with existing customers, developing new prospective customers, and accurately reporting and compiling market information.
Our client is a dynamic, stable family owned and run business and is a leading supplier of ingredients and raw materials in South Africa. With an impressive international supplier list and a diverse, stable client base they are on a rapid path for growth. They're always looking at ways to diversify their product offering and this role is a direct response to that. Their team is young and the office is based in Rivonia. This role follows a hybrid work setup, with Mondays and Fridays based in the office, while Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are spent on the road meeting with customers.
You are a goal-oriented, self-motivated sales professional with a strong technical sales background in process raw materials or food ingredients. Minimum 2 years of external sales experience in raw materials or food ingredients. A degree in a related field (chemistry, food science, or similar) would be highly beneficial. You should be proficient in MS Office and have your own reliable transport, as this role involves regular business travel. We're looking for an energetic, passionate 'go getter' that is driven by success and driving great relationships.
