POSITION: SALES CONSULTANT WESTERN CAPE

LIAISON WITH: CLIENTS, SALES AND ADMISTRATION STAFF, DISPOSAL SITES, FLEET CONTROLLERS

QUALIFICATIONS: Senior Certificate (matric)
Tertiary qualification (e.g. Sales and/or Marketing)
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a sales position an advantage.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) essential.
LICENCES: Code EB drivers license essential
COMMENTS: To effectively increase sales in chosen markets at acceptable margins as well as maintain existing clients. To be a conduit for communication to existing and prospective clients.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Cold calls
• Increase gross revenue according to agreed targets.
• Liaising with clients
• Preparation and submission of monthly reports to clients.
• Regular visits to house accounts.

TASKS:

• Carry out 'cold calls' in terms of targets that are agreed with management.
• Maintain regular contact (by means of service calls or telephone calls) with existing clients.
• Carry out regular questionnaire surveys on prospective or existing clients to gather market information.
• Monitor and record client complaints.
• Obtain waste samples, arrange analysis and liaise with disposal facility.
• To be the main contact with the client in relation to collecting overdue payments.
• To be the main channel of communication with the client in respect of service-related issues.
• Prepare and submit quotations and/or proposals to clients when required.
• To only use price lists approved by management to clients.
• Provide target or existing clients with communication material to keep them updated on company related information.
• Gather, interpret, prepare and send service-related statistical information for designated key clients (graphs, volume reports, etc.).
• Any other task that may be reasonable requested by management from time to time.
