About the position
Hire Resolve's client is a leading provider of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutions, primarily based in South Africa. They specialize in delivering innovative solutions that enhance connectivity, streamline communications, and drive technological advancements for businesses globally, with a focus on the Pan-African scale. They are currently seeking an External Account Manager to join their Sales department.
Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development:
- Sell company solutions and services to meet and exceed set sales targets.
- Identify market opportunities and develop qualified sales leads.
- Close sales deals efficiently and effectively.
- Find new business opportunities and maintain a healthy sales pipeline for future deals.
- Utilize promotional methods (phone calls, emails, social media, events) to reach potential clients and build lasting business relationships.
- Quotation & Pricing Management:
- Source supplier quotations and negotiate competitive prices.
- Prepare and send customer quotations, diligently following up to secure deals.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Develop, maintain, and grow a strong client base.
- Respond promptly and professionally to new and current clients’ compliments, complaints, and inquiries.
- Establish and maintain healthy, long-term relationships with existing clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
- Product Expertise & Presentations:
- Become an expert in the company’s product offerings, serving as a go-to source for client information.
- Conduct compelling presentations to demonstrate the benefits of our products to potential clients.
- Complete required product certifications.
- Market & Industry Awareness:
- Attend webinars, workshops, expos, and other relevant events to stay abreast of the evolving industry landscape and market trends.
- Operational Support & Brand Representation:
- Arrange the delivery of goods, installation of equipment, and provision of services.
- Track sales targets and accurately document sales performance.
- Act as a dedicated brand ambassador, representing the company’s brand and values.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Appropriate post-matric qualification.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT sales.
- Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate sales deals, contracts, and service agreements effectively.
- Strong communication skills.
- Background Check: Consent to a comprehensive background check (including identity, qualifications, criminal history, fraud, and employment references) is required, as this is a position of trust.
