About the position
A Medical Devices company requires the above to be responsible for driving international revenue growth by managing export sales channels, identifying new international markets, developing distributor networks, ensuring regulatory and compliance alignment, and coordinating all export-related operations.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- A tertiary qualification in either business, international trade, commerce or marketing, or a related field is essential for this role.
- Previous export sales experience is preferred, as the company is happy to train the person into an export role.
- Must have a proven track record managing distributors, agents, or international sales channels
- Previous experience working with Incoterms, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and export documentation is preferred.
- Previous Sales experience selling products within the medical devices or diagnostics or related equipment is preferred.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Responsible for driving international revenue growth by managing export sales channels, identifying new international markets, developing distributor networks, ensuring regulatory and compliance alignment, and coordinating all export-related operations.
- Ensuring the successful execution of the company’s global expansion strategy while maintaining strong relationships with international partners, customers, and stakeholders.
- Identifying and evaluating potential markets for business expansion as well as attending international trade shows, exhibitions, and industry conferences.
- Appointing and managing international distributors, agents, and partners and conducting distributor performance reviews, implementing KPIs, and setting annual sales targets.
- Providing product training, sales support, and marketing tools to channel partners and negotiating distribution contracts, pricing structures, and commercial terms.
- Achieving assigned export sales targets and margin objectives as well as driving promotional activities and channel marketing initiatives in export territories.
- Developing annual export sales budgets and forecasts and supporting tender submissions and large international project bids.
- Liaising with logistics teams to ensure efficient shipping, customs clearance, and export documentation and managing letters of credit, export invoicing, and commercial documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, export controls, and incoterms and coordinating with regulatory departments to ensure product approvals and market registrations.
- Working closely with Production, Product Managers, and Supply Chain to plan stock availability as well as collaborating with Marketing to develop region-specific marketing material.
