About the position

Exciting Opportunity - Executive: Business Finance
Location: Durban
Organisation - Regional Development Finance Institution
Line Management - Reports to CEO

Our client - a leading KwaZulu-Natal development finance institution with a strong mandate to empower entrepreneurs and build sustainable regional businesses - is looking for a dynamic Executive: Business Finance to join their executive team based in Durban.

What You'll Lead:

  • Strategy, policy and process development for the Business Finance division
  • Credit assessments, due diligence, loan approvals and monitoring
  • Development of SME/enterprise support interventions
  • Risk, compliance and governance (PFMA, Banks Act, FAIS, FICA, NCA)
  • Stakeholder partnerships, syndications & economic development initiatives
  • Budgeting, financial planning and divisional performance
  • Leadership of specialist teams within Business Finance

What You Should Have:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Finance / Business Management / Commercial Law.
  • 8-10 years in financial services/development finance/economic development.
  • 5-7 years at senior management level.
  • Strong expertise in credit risk, due diligence, financial modelling, PFMA, governance, and SME finance.
  • An MBA will be an added advantage.
