About the position
Our client, a leading organization in the agriculture sector, is seeking a dynamic Executive Manager to lead their Strategic Partnerships division. This permanent role is based in Centurion and offers an opportunity to drive impactful partnerships that align with the organization's strategic objectives.
Main Purpose of the Job:
- Develop and implement a strategic partnerships plan to establish relationships with key stakeholders in the sector.
- Evaluate and prioritize strategic partnerships to maximize social impact and new business opportunities.
- Manage Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programs and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Define and implement a strategic partnerships management policy and framework.
Key Performance Areas:
- Identify, Engage, and Manage Key Strategic Partnerships: Develop stakeholder relationship strategies, engage with potential partners, and document engagement plans.
- Evaluate and Analyze Business Cases: Assess the social and financial impact of potential partnerships and develop business cases for approval.
- Develop and Manage Repository of MOU’s: Maintain an MoU repository, review and monitor implementation, and drive the drafting of new MoUs.
- Monitor and Report on Progress: Provide regular reporting on partnership onboarding and performance to executive management and the board.
- Develop and Implement Development and Transformation Plan: Oversee the implementation of development and transformation initiatives, seek budget allocations, and prepare reports.
- People Management: Lead performance management processes, provide coaching and feedback to employees, and drive performance.
Preferred Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture.
- 15 years of experience in Strategic Partnership Management in the Agriculture sector.
- Exposure to Banking and Insurance, Development Finance institutions, and/or State-Owned Entity Environment.
Critical Competencies:
- Strong business acumen and customer service orientation.
- Proven ability in strategy development, stakeholder management, and financial management.
- Familiarity with Development, Funding Organizations, and Donors.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- Availability for extended hours as required.
- Valid Driver’s License (Code 08).
