About the position

Purpose: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, to provide strategic direction in the management of loan assessments, pre - investment support and post - investment support in order to ensure that clients are able to effectively establish, manage and grow their businesses. Duties:Lead the development and manage the implementation of appropriate policies, business processes and standard operating procedures for the business [URL Removed] the development of short, medium and long operational plans in line with the corporate strategic [URL Removed] the measurement and reporting on the attainment of objectives for the business unit's strategic operational plans by facilitating meetings with Divisional Heads [URL Removed] risks to the Business unit by timeously and systematically identifying risks and developing appropriate risk mitigation [URL Removed] the implementation of service delivery improvement programmes and business systems [URL Removed] that there is full compliance by the business unit with relevant legislation, policies and [URL Removed] and evaluate the processes in terms of loan applications which includes ensuring the collection and verification of information is [URL Removed] on the business units strategic and operational plans at Executive [URL Removed] the compilation and management of budgets and loan approval schedules is [URL Removed] and advise on initiatives and activities to support partnerships for the company's clients through non - financial support and financial [URL Removed] adherence to standard operating procedures in terms of [URL Removed] and monitor the implementation of suitable interventions to support distressed [URL Removed] and create strategic partnerships for the business [URL Removed] key internal and external stakeholders are identified and relations are appropriately [URL Removed] the company's Visibility on various [URL Removed] the development of the Business units' budgets in accordance with the company's budget policy and [URL Removed] relevant project steering committee [URL Removed] the budget processes are aligned to strategic planning processes and performance [URL Removed] control and report on budget inputs and variances during meetings as per stipulated [URL Removed] capital expenditure spend in line with the fiscal [URL Removed] and control the key performance indicators of personnel and processes within the Business [URL Removed] staffing levels and prepare motivations for the filling of vacancies to complement functional objectives and [URL Removed] and adjust the role boundaries, workflow process and job designs against established service delivery requirements and statutory [URL Removed] relevant competitor activity and take appropriate action if required.
Qualification:Post graduate qualification in Finance /Business Management /Commercial Law or an equivalent post graduate [URL Removed] MBA will be advantageousExperience:8 - 10 Years' experience in a financial institution (banking, developing finance and economic development) of which 5 - 7 years should be at a senior management [URL Removed] Functional Competencies:Computer literacy in Ms [URL Removed] and experience in financial planning and [URL Removed] and understanding of Public financial Management [URL Removed] of corporate governance [URL Removed] of risk management concepts, frameworks and [URL Removed] of credit risk assessments, due diligence and financial [URL Removed] of relevant legislation., e.g. Banks Act, FAIS, FICA, and NCAKnowledge of financial management and investment [URL Removed] of Fraud [URL Removed] of risk management concepts, frameworks, and [URL Removed] skillsMarket knowledge and [URL Removed] and application of sales planning principles and [URL Removed] understanding of business operations and [URL Removed] research and analytical abilitiesValid Driver's Licence.
