About the position
The Events Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering all events within the precinct and the broader portfolio. This includes large-scale public, paid-for events, client activations, as well as internal corporate functions.
The role demands a detail-oriented professional with strong project management skills, the ability to juggle multiple deadlines, and a deep understanding of current event trends. In addition, this individual will manage sponsorship activations and provide support for various initiatives.
Event Strategy & Planning
- Deliver on-brand, high-impact events that align with business and marketing goals.
- Plan and manage the full events calendar
- Conceptualize event themes, source venues, manage logistics and suppliers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless execution.
Public & Corporate Events
- Execute both large-scale public events and internal functions.
- Oversee all aspects of event execution including run-of-show, health & safety compliance, JOC approvals, insurance, PL cover, permits, and risk management.
- Manage sponsorships, guest experiences, and corporate communications for internal events.
Sponsorship Management
- Build strong sponsorship relationships and ensure mutual value is delivered.
- Identify and engage potential sponsors.
- Oversee activation plans and brand alignment.
- Monitor deliverables and post-event reporting for partners.
Company Foundation Support
- Support the Foundation's community initiatives through effective events.
- Collaborate with the Foundation team on planning and rolling out CSI-linked events.
- Ensure alignment with brand and community development goals.
Trend Research & Innovation
- Stay abreast of event trends, technologies, and audience preferences.
- Propose enhancements to elevate event experiences.
- Keep events innovative, current, and relevant.
Requirements - Degree in Events Management, Marketing, Public Relations, Hospitality, or related field
- Project Management or related certifications
- 5+ years of proven experience in planning, managing, and executing both public and internal events.
- Demonstrated experience with end-to-end event logistics, stakeholder coordination, and supplier management.
- Experience working with sponsorships and/or community initiatives is essential.
