Estimator (Building Civils MEP)

About the position

Our client, a well-established and expanding construction company, who are expanding into civil projects are seeking to employ a well experienced and qualified mid-senior level Estimator to join their dynamic team in the Cape Winelands region

Please note: this role is not a junior role, it is a mid-career estimator role, whereby the successful candidate will have a suitable qualification and a solid track record in medium to large scale construction projects; although we do need a candidate with a good mix between building and civils project background, preference will be given to a predominantly civils background

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION

• You MUST have completed a tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Civil/Construction Management, coupled with 5-10 years' experience in the development of accurate, compliant and competitive tenders for medium to large greenfield and brownfield Civil and Building projects.
• Certification in CCS is essential and an assessment will be conducted.
• You will have proven experience in translating civil/building project documentation and productivities, understand the requirements of each project and be able to effectively use various scheduling, estimation and reporting software tools.
• You will understand the risk factors and conduct an analysis of the requirements to ensure profitability
• You will have proven multi-tasking skills, be able to effectively manage more than one tender simultaneously and understand competitive pricing
• You will be flexible to travel if needed, have exceptional interpersonal skills, effectively communicate at all levels, lead by example and deliver results in a high pressure environment, meeting international standards
