About the position
Introduction
We are looking for an experienced and commercially astute Principal Consultant – EPM to take ownership of senior client relationships and delivery outcomes across large, complex and strategically important Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) engagements.
This is a senior consulting leadership role for an individual who can shape delivery strategy, provide executive-level advisory, resolve complex stakeholder and delivery challenges, protect commercial outcomes and ensure EPM solutions deliver measurable business value.
The successful candidate will also play a key role in practice development, pre-sales, team leadership and developing future consulting leaders.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccount Ownership & Delivery Strategy
- Own overall delivery outcomes for large, complex and strategically important EPM engagements.
- Set delivery strategy, governance standards and decision-making principles across projects and accounts.
- Act as the account and solution quality owner, ensuring delivery remains aligned with client value, scope, quality, timelines and margins.
- Make complex multi-project decisions and resolve delivery conflicts using strong commercial and client judgement.
- Act as the escalation authority for complex delivery, stakeholder, scope and quality issues.
Executive Client Engagement & Advisory- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, including Finance and Group Reporting leadership.
- Advise clients on EPM strategy, roadmap planning, solution direction and value realisation.
- Provide credible and pragmatic advisory guidance to executive stakeholders.
- Lead difficult conversations relating to scope, priorities, trade-offs, risks and business value.
Solution Governance & Quality- Lead solution reviews, design validation and quality governance across engagements.

- Practice Development, Pre-Sales & Growth
- Contribute to EPM practice development, thought leadership and methodology improvement.
- Shape solution offerings, value propositions, proposals and executive presentations.
- Support sales pursuits through outcome-based propositions, delivery models, estimates and risk assessments.
- Identify opportunities to expand client value and contribute to the growth of the EPM consulting business.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements- 15 years' relevant experience in EPM, finance transformation, enterprise performance management or enterprise systems consulting.
- Proven experience owning senior client relationships and delivery outcomes on large or complex consulting engagements.
- Demonstrated experience engaging and advising executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience with forecasting, margin protection, scope governance and risk management.
- Recognised specialist or domain authority in one or more EPM areas.
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- Consolidation & Reporting
- FP&A / Planning
- Group Tax Reporting
- Enterprise Reporting
- Data Integration
- EPM Architecture
- Advanced EPM platform capability is required, with BOARD advanced developer certification or comparable EPM platform credentials being advantageous.
