About the position
Hire Resolve’s Client is looking for an Environmental Divisional Manager to be based at their Ballito office in Kwazulu-Natal!
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Technical Services Division, leading a team of five environmental scientists and technicians
- Provide technical and managerial oversight for field-based environmental monitoring programmes, including noise, water quality, dust, biodiversity and aquatic monitoring
- Oversee and contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Water Use Licence (WUL) applications, environmental auditing and compliance reporting
- Lead land management programme development, including alien and invasive species management, mine rehabilitation, restoration planning and ongoing land stewardship initiatives
- Manage and review specialist environmental studies to support EIAs, WULs and mining/industrial projects
- Ensure effective implementation of waste management and water management strategies across projects
- Provide technical input and strategic guidance on mining and industrial environmental projects, with a strong focus on mine rehabilitation
- Mentor, manage and develop a multidisciplinary team, ensuring quality assurance, performance management and skills development
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Degree or Hons degree in Environmental Management or similar
- Registrations: SACNASP and EAPASA preferable but not critical
- 8+ years’ experience in environmental consulting (mining)
- Valid Driver’s License
