About the position

To lead and manage enterprise-wide risk across the Group, ensuring that risks are identified, assessed, monitored and managed in line with the Group's strategic objectives, financial stability and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Risk Strategy & Governance

  • Develop and implement the Group's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework
  • Define and manage risk appetite and risk policies
  • Integrate risk into strategic planning and major business decisions
  • Build a strong risk-aware culture across the organisationRisk Identification & Assessment
  • Identify key strategic, operational and financial risks
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop risk heat maps
  • Establish risk and compliance frameworks across the Group
  • Design and implement Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)

Risk Mitigation & Financial Risk Oversight

  • Advise executives on risk-return trade-offs
  • Oversee financial risk areas (credit, liquidity, FX, interest rates)
  • Review insurance and risk transfer strategies
  • Work with Finance on credit risk and capital management

Risk Monitoring & Reporting

  • Develop dashboards and regular risk reports
  • Present risk insights to senior management and Board committees
  • Design and manage the Combined Assurance model

Crisis Management & Business Continuity

  • Develop and oversee business continuity plans
  • Ensure executive readiness for crisis situations
  • Support organisational resilience planning

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Work with Legal and Compliance teams
  • Coordinate internal and external audits related to risk

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with risk champions across divisions
  • Represent the Group at industry level
  • Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships

Minimum Requirementsn & Competencies

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (Finance/Accounting/Audit)
  • 10+ years senior-level experience in Retail, Manufacturing or Financial Services
  • Strong experience in enterprise risk governance
  • Exposure to Executive and Board-level engagement
  • Knowledge of ISO 31000, COSO or similar frameworks
  • Strategic thinker
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Excellent analytical ability
  • Influential communicator
  • High resilience and stress tolerance
  • Collaborative leadership style
