Enterprise Architect - Supply Chain at Sabenza IT & Recruitment

About the position

The Enterprise Architect will act as a trusted strategic advisor and architectural authority for the Supply Chain function, ensuring business capabilities, applications, data, integrations, and platforms operate as one connected, scalable, and efficient ecosystem.

• Own and continuously evolve the Enterprise Architecture vision and strategy for the Supply Chain function.
  
• Define target architectures, transition roadmaps, architecture principles, standards, and governance frameworks to support business and technology transformation.
  
• Provide architectural leadership and assurance across programmes, products, platforms, and major transformation initiatives.
  
• Ensure architectural coherence, interoperability, scalability, resilience, security, and alignment with enterprise strategy across the technology landscape.
  
• Act as the architectural authority for key technology and solution decisions, assessing designs, dependencies, risks, and long-term business impact.
  
• Drive simplification and rationalisation of the application, integration, and data landscape to improve agility, operational resilience, service levels, user experience, and cost efficiency.
  
• Lead enterprise-level architectural thinking for Supply Chain transformation, leveraging a strong understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain operations and their commercial impact.
  
• Advise senior business and technology stakeholders on architectural trade-offs, risks, opportunities, investment decisions, and technology strategy.
  
• Provide architecture assurance and due diligence for major programmes and investments, ensuring alignment with approved architectures, standards, and strategic roadmaps.
  
• Partner closely with Agile and SAFe delivery teams to ensure architecture is practical, actionable, and effectively translated into delivery outcomes.
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with executive stakeholders, technology leadership, product owners, delivery teams, and strategic technology vendors.
  
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of end-to-end Supply Chain processes, including Demand Planning and Forecasting, Supply Planning, S&OP/IBP, Procurement, Supplier Collaboration, Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Transportation, Logistics, Distribution, Customer Fulfilment, Supply Chain Performance, and Sustainability/Circular Supply Chain initiatives.
  
• Design and govern enterprise architectures across complex, multi-vendor technology environments.
  
• Bring strong experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP EWM, SAP TMS, Blue Yonder, IoT platforms, modern data architectures, API-led integration, and enterprise integration patterns.
  
• Demonstrate a practical understanding of AI, emerging technologies, cloud platforms, data architecture, and modern digital capabilities.
  
• Apply strong UX principles and ensure technology architecture supports intuitive, effective, and business-focused user experiences.
  
• Apply TOGAF principles pragmatically across architecture governance, target-state definition, transition planning, standards, and architectural assurance.
  
• Hold Matric and a relevant tertiary qualification.
  
• Have extensive Enterprise Architecture experience within large, complex FMCG/CPG or similarly sophisticated organisations.
  
• Demonstrate strong executive presence with the ability to influence business and IT decisions and translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
  
• Proven ability to operate strategically while maintaining sufficient technical depth to challenge, guide, and govern complex architectural decisions.
