About the position
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Enterprise Architect to operate at executive level within the client’s Transformation Office Programme. The successful candidate will serve as the central Enterprise Architect responsible for ensuring architectural consistency across multiple complex workstreams, while simultaneously building and maturing the client’s internal Enterprise Architecture capability. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines deep technical and industry expertise with strong executive engagement and knowledge transfer.
The role is critical to the success of the Service Model Optimisation programme covering Finance, HR, Procurement, Warehouse Management & Logistics, Protection Services, EHS & Sustainability, Technology Services, Asset Management, IT/OT, Mining, and Processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead Enterprise Architect across the Transformation Office, maintaining architectural integrity, standards, and consistency across all workstreams.
- Define, govern, and enforce the Enterprise Architecture framework, principles, and reference architectures for the programme.
- Provide strategic architectural direction and oversight for the optimisation and transformation of core enterprise functions and operational technology environments.
- Facilitate architecture decision-making at C-Suite and senior leadership levels.
- Design and deliver workshops to drive alignment, gather requirements, and co-create solutions with business and technology stakeholders.
- Develop high-impact PowerPoint presentations and architectural artefacts that tell a compelling story for executive audiences.
- Accelerate the client’s EA capability by mentoring internal resources, establishing EA processes, governance structures, and delivery models.
- Ensure seamless integration between Enterprise Functions IT and Operational Technology (IT/OT convergence) in a mining context.
Requirements - Enterprise Architecture: Expert-level proficiency in Enterprise Architecture principles, frameworks, and practices.
- TOGAF: Certified and demonstrable practical application of TOGAF in complex transformation programmes.
- Mining Industry Experience: Deep understanding of mining operations, including mining and processing value chains.
- Operational Technology (OT): Strong experience in OT architectures, IT/OT convergence, and industrial control systems in heavy industry.
- Enterprise Functions IT: Hands-on experience transforming Finance, HR, Procurement, Logistics, Asset Management, and related support functions.
- Architecture artefacts development (views, roadmaps, solution architectures, principles, standards).
