Enrolled Nurse(Maternity)

About the position

Our client in the private healthcare sector has vacancies available for skilled Enrolled Nurses (Maternity), to provide compassionate and patient-centered nursing care to women, newborns, and their families in the Maternity Ward
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to mothers and newborns under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist with patient admissions, observations, vital signs, and documentation.
• Support mothers during labour and after delivery with comfort, hygiene, and breastfeeding guidance.
• Monitor maternal and neonatal conditions and report any deviations or concerns to the RN promptly.
• Prepare delivery rooms, assist with deliveries, and support infection control procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of maternity equipment and supplies.
• Educate patients and families on postnatal care, infant care, and family planning basics (within scope).
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through compassionate and respectful care.

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualification: Certificate or Diploma in Enrolled Nursing (NQF Level 4 or 5).
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Minimum of 1–2 years' experience in maternity, obstetric, or general nursing environment (preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification (current).
