About the position
My client based in Pietermaritzburg is currently looking for an Engineering Manager to join them on a permanent basis

- Financial Management
Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 8 years' trade experience of which least 5 years in a supervisory category
- GCC factories
- Excellent understanding of mechanical, refrigeration and electrical engineering
- Exchange information in a clear and concise manner (both written and verbal)
- Work flexible hours and some weekends as required
- Excellent leadership skills
- Thorough understanding of the Labour Relations Act
- Constantly looking and finding ways to improve plant efficiency and effectiveness
- Regularly review/ monitor progress/ reschedule & re-prioritise i.e. "think on your feet".
- Understand the full implications of potential problems and minimise their impact
- Recommend solutions bases on rigorous and sound information research
