Engineering Manager

About the position

A well-established manufacturing company, specialising in hydraulic systems and equipment is looking for the above to oversee the development and execution of engineering projects.
Minimum requirements for the role: 

• Grade 12 (Matric)/N3 or equivalent.
• A Degree in Mechanical Engineering is essential for this role.
• Must be Computer Literate.
• Previous experience in Hydraulics with a background and in-depth knowledge.
• Previous (3-years) Managerial experience is preferred.

The successful candidate will be responsible for: 

• Overseeing the development and execution of engineering projects.
• Designing Hydraulic components.
• Providing technical advice to both customers and colleagues within the company.
• Conducting site visits for technical advice.
• Liaising with various stakeholders.
• Providing internal training to fellow colleagues on products and technical matters.
• Checking and approving manufacturing drawings.
• Assisting in the testing of hydraulic components.
• Generating quotes for products and systems to be manufactured.
• Leading and managing projects.
• Managing the engineering department.
