What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it) You'll lead the engineering, maintenance, and technical functions within a demanding production environment. Your focus will be on ensuring asset reliability and uptime, implementing preventative maintenance, and removing bottlenecks through lean methodologies. From driving strategic engineering projects to managing capital investments and improving plant layout and efficiency, you'll have ownership over both daily operations and long-term improvements. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with production, supply chain, and SHEQ teams, while leading a skilled technical team and enabling high performance in a unionised setting. What you'll need A Mechanical Engineering degree (BSc/BEng) and at least 8 years of experience in heavy manufacturing sectors such as steel, mining, or automotive. A GCC Factories certification is essential. You'll bring deep knowledge of continuous production systems, mechanical reliability, and maintenance within unionised environments. Experience with Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, and ISO systems is advantageous. Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills will be key to your success.
