About the position

Manufacturing of PVC Pypes.

• Managing maintenance schedules and budgets
• Delivering planned and plant maintenance.
• Managing a team of multi-disciplined maintenance technicians.
• Planning, directing and controlling the efforts of the Maintenance Team.
• Ensuring that all electrical equipment is in safe working order in line with current regulations.
• Ensuring that all certificates of compliance are maintained and up to date in accordance with relevant legislation.
• Plan and perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines and the plant continue to run smoothly
• Modify equipment prototypes, parts, assemblies and systems to correct functional deviations
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary.
• Built, calibrate maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Analyze and interpret test information to resolve design-related problems
• Develop practices and procedures for equipment availability
• Prepare project cost and work-time estimates.
• Delegating work responsibilities.
• Recording daily maintenance activity.
• Mentoring inexperienced or new employees.
• Running an efficient repairs reporting system
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering with experience with in a hands on manufacturing environment
• 4-5 years' in a similar managerial position
• Good hands on Artisan that developed to Management
