Energy Project Manager

About the position

We are looking for a Project Manager to join the Energy Division of top consulting engineering firm. The position can be based in Cape Town or Johannesburg.
Key Responsibilities include:

• Develop detailed project execution plans to ensure successful delivery of projects.
• Work collaboratively with the Client and company team.
• Manage and coordinate the integration of technical activities to enable the company to achieve its objectives.
• Ensure projects deliverables comply with design standards, legal regulations, environmental standards, and necessary permits.
• Identify potential project risks and devise mitigation strategies.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders, including governments, local communities, suppliers, contractors, and team members.
• Ensure the company delivers quality services to our clients.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure project standards and performance objectives are met.
• Oversee and report on the project’s progress to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, project management, or a related field. A master's degree (advatageous)
• Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), SACPCMP or Accredited.
