About the position

Well established company on the East Rand seeks an Employee Benefits Specialist to join their dynamic team
Role Purpose 
This client-facing role focuses on expanding client base, and strengthening existing relationships. The successful candidate will build and manage client relationships, provide tailored advice and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance - own transport essential 

Education

  • RE5 Certification.
  • Relevant Financial services industry qualification, NQF5 in Wealth Management of Financial Planning / 120 FAIS credits.
  • Relevant Class of Business for Risk Benefits Advice

Experience 

  • Over 3 years’ experience in financial services with a focus on employee benefits and client solutions
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships that drive business growth
  • Skilled at engaging confidently with senior decision-makers, HR professionals, and diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently
  • Experienced in interpreting financial and underwriting data to tailor client-focused recommendations

Duties 

  • Driving growth in new business
  • Participate in proactive new business marketing initiatives
  • Develop communication strategies to educate members about their benefits
  • Establish and nurture client and provider relationships
  • Identify new business as well as upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
  • Collaborate with insurers, underwriters and internal account managers to deliver competitive solutions.
  • Keeping up to date with market product and service offerings
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing products, legislation, and market trends.
  • Managing new business processing and placement, from end to end
