About the position
Sandton - Employee Benefits Portfolio Administrator required within a specialist financial services organization focused on employee benefits and retirement fund administration. This role supports the full administration lifecycle across multiple portfolios, including claims, transfers, investments, reporting, and stakeholder engagement within a regulated environment.
The Employee Benefits Portfolio Administrator will be responsible for the effective coordination and administration of employee benefits portfolios.
The role requires strong technical knowledge of retirement fund processes, including claims, transfers, month-end activities, and reporting. The incumbent will work closely with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure service level agreements are met. Accuracy, compliance, and timely execution are central to the success of this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Process disinvestment and claims requests in line with regulatory requirements
- Generate, review, and submit ROTs and tax applications
- Process, validate, and authorize EFT payments and claim letters
- Manage section 14 claims, transfers in and out, and related reporting
- Oversee claims SLA management, tracking, and reporting
- Process and review month-end contributions and cash outflows
- Validate and authorize investment trades and pricing
- Manage section 14 and individual transfers into portfolios
- Prepare audit working papers and resolve audit queries
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and month-end accounting
- Compile and deliver client, internal, and regulatory reports
- Facilitate internal and external training sessions and client meetings
- Log, manage, and escalate queries appropriately
- Review, validate, and authorize portfolio transactions
- Plan, monitor, and sign off on daily activities and ad hoc projects

Requirements
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent tertiary qualification (advantageous)
- Certificate of Proficiency in Retirement Funds (COP)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an employee benefits or retirement fund administration environment
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, including advanced Excel
- Everest system experience (essential)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Afrikaans proficiency (Preferred)
Remuneration
R25 000 - R30 000 monthly
