Embedded Engineer

About the position

Our client is eagerly seeking an Embedded Engineer who will be responsible for researching, designing, developing, maintaining, analysing, testing, documenting, and specifying embedded products and sub-systems from initial specification to full release. This role ensures that all products meet customer requirements, adhere to design standards, and align with technical specifications, ensuring quality and functionality throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronic / Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in firmware design and development
• Experience in the metering industry, including smart metering and smart grid technologies (advantageous)
• Strong understanding of electronic analogue and digital design principles, and design for manufacture
• Ability to break down project work items and provide accurate timing estimates
• Familiarity with real-time operating systems
• Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ programming languages
• Embedded Software Design & Development: Contribute to the architecture, design, coding, validation, and documentation of embedded software to meet project requirements and specifications.
• Integration & Testing: Develop, integrate, and test software solutions, ensuring all functional, unit, and final device testing meet quality standards and project requirements.
