You're a problem-solving Electronic Engineer with a passion for technology and innovation in the built environment. You enjoy collaborating across disciplines and thrive in a role where you can take the lead on technical systems that make buildings smarter, safer, and more connected. You bring clarity to complexity, take ownership of your work, and pride yourself on delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
You'll be developing technical specifications and designs for cutting-edge building systems including fire detection, security, AV, BMS, GRMS, and more. Working on high-profile hospitality, healthcare, commercial, and retail projects, you'll create detailed AutoCAD layouts (and ideally Revit too), prepare design reports, assist with tenders, and ensure all systems meet industry standards. Your role also includes system integration, site inspections, and supporting commissioning to bring your designs to life.
You'll join a leading engineering consultancy based in Bellville, Cape Town renowned for delivering innovative building solutions across Southern Africa. With a track record in high-end developments and a focus on smart technology integration, this is a technically strong, collaborative team offering meaningful work and real impact in the industry.
A Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or similar) and at least 5 years of experience in consulting engineering. You'll need strong CAD skills, with Revit/BIM knowledge a plus. Familiarity with a range of building systems and a background in hospitality, healthcare, or commercial projects is key. Excellent communication and coordination skills are essential, and ECSA registration (or eligibility) is a bonus.
