About the position

DBN000223 – Electronic Design Engineer - Cape Town

Purpose of the Job:







To design, test, and troubleshoot electronic systems, supporting innovative mining technology projects and meeting engineering requirements.




Required Qualifications:





  • Experienced in electronic/electrical engineering, circuit design, and troubleshooting.
  • Skilled in C/C++ for STM32 and reading PCB schematics.
  • Bachelor’s in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of mining tech is a advantage.


Technical Competencies & Experience:

  • Plan and manage projects, track progress, handle punchlists, and maintain regular client updates, including site visits.
  • Investigate new technologies, explore personal and team-driven ideas, and apply findings to current or potential work.
  • Create detailed schematics and PCBs, perform engineering calculations, develop innovative solutions, and lead design processes.
  • Complete installations and assemble equipment, ensuring proper execution with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and implementation of projects on-site and off-site.
