About the position
Southern Wind Shipyard is looking to employ a qualified Electrician for electrical installation, testing and commissioning of the electrical systems and related components on yachts manufactured. The successfull candidate will need to have previous experience and a working knowledge of all on-board systems such as air conditioning, hydraulic controls, batteries, motors (DC and AC), refrigeration and water makers. Having practical sailing expereince will be an advantage.
Desired Skills:
- N4 Electrical or equivalent
- 5 years experience in marine industry
- Knowledge of all on-board systems

- Knowledge of high voltage DC is an advantage
- Experience in supply of power to electronic components an advantage
- Knowledge of electrical grounding/galvanic corrosion in marine environments an advantage

Desired Qualification Level:
- Diploma
