About the position

A leading Furniture Manufacturer situated in the Selby, JHB is looking to employ an Electrician.

It's a 3 months TEMPORARY position with the view of making it permanent.

Job brief

We are currently looking for a qualified electrician to start immediately, he will be responsible for the following

• Should be able to execute or read electrical drawings
• Good understanding of single and three phase power reticulation
• Good understanding of vsd, ups, generators, motors, and control panels
• Preparing, assemble and wiring of panels
• Installing of all safety measures or components to machinery
• Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring, and components.
• Perform effective troubleshooting, and be able to list spares required/ to be replaced
• Good timekeeper
• Plc knowledge will be advantageous

Requirements and skills

• 5+ years proven experience as an electrician
• experience in commercial/ industrial electrical system
• ability to use hand tools and electrical instruments
• good problem-solving skills, and team player
• be able to work flexible hours/ overtime when required
• experience in wood working machinery and CNC machines
• electrical trade test is a must
• valid drivers license
• good knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations /compliance
