About the position
Key Responsibilities Project Planning and Execution: Will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing electrical projects within mining operations, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety standards. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: The role involves diagnosing and resolving electrical issues, making critical decisions to ensure continuous operations and minimize downtime. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: To collaborate with engineers, maintenance teams, and safety personnel to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with overall mining operations. Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior electricians and maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Process Improvement and Innovation: Identify opportunities for process improvement in electrical maintenance and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and safety. Technical or Customer-Facing Responsibilities: Engage with client to understand their electrical requirements and provide technical support as needed.

About The Employer:
Our client based in Saldanha Bay and Lutzville is currently looking to acquire experienced Electricians which will be based in one of their site either Lutzville or Saldanha Bay. The successful candidates should possesses the following skills and experience:
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical systems, PLC programming, troubleshooting, electrical safety protocols, and knowledge of mining-specific electrical equipment.
- Educational Requirements: A degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, along with relevant certifications in electrical maintenance and safety.
- Experience Level: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance within the mining industry, with a proven track record of project management.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, adaptability to challenging environments, leadership qualities, and a focus on safety protocols.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of mining regulations, safety standards, and best practices in electrical maintenance within mining operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in managing electrical systems in underground mining operations.
- Holding advanced certifications in industrial electrical systems or mining-specific electrical equipment.
- Familiarity with automation technologies and emerging trends in electrical systems for mining applications.
