About the position

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications & Licensing

• Valid 3-Phase Electrical License (Non-negotiable)
• Trade qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Wireman's License or equivalent electrical certification
• Solar installation certification/experience

Experience

• Minimum 5-7 years experience in electrical management roles
• Proven track record in residential electrical installations
• Extensive experience with solar panel installations and renewable energy systems
• Previous experience managing electrical teams (minimum 3+ years)
• Experience with 3-phase electrical systems and industrial installations
• Project management experience in construction/development environment

Technical Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations
• Proficiency in electrical design and system planning
• Experience with electrical testing equipment and procedures
• Solar system design and installation expertise
• Understanding of building management systems and smart home technologies
• Computer literacy (MS Office, electrical design software)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Management

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all electrical installation work on residential development projects
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and municipal regulations
• Design and implement electrical systems for residential properties
• Oversee solar installation projects and renewable energy solutions
• Manage 3-phase electrical installations and connections
• Conduct quality inspections and testing of electrical work
• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide technical solutions

Team Leadership

• Lead and manage a team of electricians, technicians, and subcontractors
• Allocate resources and coordinate work schedules to meet project deadlines
• Conduct performance reviews and provide skills development guidance
• Ensure proper training and safety compliance across the electrical team
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other department heads

Project Management

• Develop project timelines and monitor progress against milestones
• Manage electrical budgets and cost control measures
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for materials and equipment procurement
• Prepare progress reports and communicate with senior management
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification
