Minimum Requirements Qualifications And Skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years of experience in working in a manufacturing plant or similar, in Electrical & Instrumentation Department at similar position.
- National Trade Certificate in Electrical 0r Instrumentation, National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or more than 10 years' experience in a similar field.
- Food Safety Certificate (Advantageous)
- Managing Maintenance Certificates (Advantageous)
- Supervisory & leadership skills
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Coordinate activities within the Electrical Department, to ensure it:
- Ensure BSC & OHSA standards.
- Perform to quality, waste, and production standards and goals.
- Ensure plant and processes run as per IMS standards, SOPs, WI, formats, specifications, best practices/run parameters.
- Follow TQM principles & methodology for sustaining current and future continual improvement.
- Communicate (written/verbal) to other departments for resolution of mechanical problems, reporting defective material, coordination if job preparations, changeovers, and daily shift information.
- Report production/systems accurately and timely including waste, WIP, time codes, raw materials/MUDI-MUDA-MURA, etc.
- Ensure your own safety while operating the machine and that of those assisting with operations.
- Motivate employees to comply with the above
- Ensure participation in training programmes
- All Production and Plan areas and machines.
- Electrical Stores (maintaining of critical spares/delivering of RT, physical stock reconciliation with book stock, maintaining of inventory, preparation of issue slip within 24 hours.)
- Physical verification of spares, maintaining of min/max level.
- Compliance of PM schedule of plant.
- All plant stock code creation + material Indenting procurement + Faulty & repaired item record.
- Instrument lab + Standard instrument calibration and record keeping + Common tools.
- IMS/ISO documentation + PM & SM scheduling planning & execution.
- Department Training + Kaizen coordinator.
- Ensure proper drawing & documentation for all machine by coordinating with area owner.
- IMS audit external & internal.
- Supervision and control of maintenance activities of all machines
