About the position
If you're passionate about solving complex power system challenges and driving the transition to sustainable energy, we want to hear from you. We have an exciting vacancy for an experienced Power Systems Engineer in Gauteng!
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent).
- 7+ years' experience
- Professional Registration HIGHLY advantageous
- Demonstrated experience in network modelling and analysis using DIgSILENT PowerFactory (or comparable software like PSS/E or ETAP).
- Comprehensive knowledge of performing modelling, simulations, and calculations to specify protection settings (LV to HV) for renewable power plants.
- Experience with synchronous generators, industrial/mining operations, or complex transmission/distribution grids is highly valued
- A thorough understanding of the South African transmission and distribution systems, the South African Grid Code, and current industry trends.
