Role Overview The Electrical Engineer will lead technical audits of electrical meters (domestic, prepaid, medium, high voltage, and bulk) to support credit control. This role involves designing audit protocols, overseeing disconnections, and ensuring accurate billing reports, aligning with Rihati's commitment to reliable and community-focused utility management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead audits of electrical meters for tampering, accuracy, and compliance.
Design protocols for detecting tampering and performing disconnections.
Compile comprehensive billing reports per site, integrating engineering assessments.
Manage contractors and coordinate with credit control teams for operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with South African electrical regulations and municipal standards.
Resolve technical issues related to meter performance or system inefficiencies.
Provide technical guidance to electricians and contractors.
Document audit processes and outcomes for municipal reporting.
Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of audits.
Support Rihati's community initiatives through technical expertise.
