Electrical Engineer

About the position

Seeking an Electrical Engineer with around 4 - 7 years of HV and heavy industry project experience in consulting, design and project management to join a well established consulting firm.

Responsibilities include the design, development, and maintenance of electrical systems and infrastructure in compliance with South African engineering standards and regulations.

The role involves project execution, technical analysis, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable electrical engineering solutions.

• BSc or BEng. in Electrical Engineering
• 4 - 7 years experience in HV / heavy industry project experience
• Technical Skills: 
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or Dialux).
• Knowledge of South African standards and grid codes
• Familiarity with SCADA, PLC programming, or building management systems (a plus)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, specification, and supervision of electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies.
• Liaise with clients, and other engineering disciplines.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with national and international electrical codes and standards.
• Support project management in meeting timelines and budgets.
