Electrical Engineer

About the position

• BSc / BTech in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years project experience, particularly within the Water & Wastewater industry.
• Proven experience in site-based project work and commissioning.
• Extensive knowledge of ISO/IEC standards and their application within engineering practices.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technologist/Engineer (or actively in the process of registration).
• Strong technical problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

To play a critical role in delivering high-quality electrical, control, and instrumentation (EC&I) solutions across all project stages.
Will be responsible for technical design, project execution, and interfacing with clients and consortium partners.
To have a strong understanding of engineering processes, compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, and the ability to deliver within defined timeframes and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver electrical, control, and instrumentation engineering outputs, ensuring all project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
• Take full technical responsibility for the EC&I scope, whether managed internally or through consortium partners, ensuring technical suitability and functionality.
• Prepare and review detailed electrical designs, including :
• Single Line Diagrams
• General Arrangement Drawings
• MCC Wiring Diagrams
• PLC Layouts and Network Architecture Designs
• Instrumentation Loop and Hook-Up Diagrams
• Cable Schedules and Functional Design Specifications
